NOBLE WINES, FIRST VEGETABLES FROM THE GARDEN AND ISCHITAN RABBITS
Beautiful, beautiful, fascinating, protean, sincere, with a big heart, it is among the most popular places in the world. Relaxation here is made up of impulses that coincide with the primordial elements, and intertwine with the testimonies that man has left you over the centuries: from the dry stone walls, built stone by stone, with blocks of yellow and green tuff, which delimit the fields; to the arabesque and Tyrrhenian architecture of the villages. Ischia is the largest and most populated island in the Gulf of Naples.
The largest of the Flegrean Islands and the Campanian Archipelago, with its 46.3 square kilometers it is eighth in area among the smaller Italian islands. The more than 60,000 inhabitants place it in third place for population density. From an administrative point of view, it is divided into six historic Municipalities: Ischia, Forio, Casamicciola, Lacco Ameno, Barano and Serrara Fontana. About 18 nautical miles from Naples, it can be reached by ferry from the ports of Naples and Pozzuoli and with fast transport from Naples or, during the tourist season, from other coastal ports. The main ports of the island are in Ischia, Casamicciola and Forio. The former state road 270 ring of the Green Island connects all the Municipalities.
